April is National Minority Health Month and AALI is committed to raising awareness about the importance of improving the health of minority communities here at home and throughout the United States.

In the U.S., the likelihood of kidney failure impacting Black and African American communities is three

times higher than Whites and 1.3 times higher than Hispanics or Latinos. Health disparities are the result

of systemic inequities deeply rooted in America's systems, practices and policies. High blood pressure,

diabetes, obesity and heart disease, place communities of color at higher risks for developing kidney

disease. #NationalMinorityHealthMonth #AALI
